The Loneliness Study

The Mercer’s Institute for Research on Ageing in collaboration with The Ageing Well Network have commence a new study involving the delivery of new training for older volunteers.  These volunteers will be trained in specific skills to enable them to work with older people living in the country.  The new synergies created by this project should encourage a higher level of social engagement for the participants, with the added expectation of improved health and a stronger sense of belonging.
